about

"An Hour Before Dawn" is the debut EP from the Grant Street Grifters. It is a collection of original songs as diverse as the duo's tastes and a representation of the different styles of music their fans have heard at their live shows over the years.

Peter Flynn (guitar, vocals) and Trish Imbrogno (double bass, vocals) have been fixtures in the Pittsburgh music scene for the better part of a decade. They began as The Grifters, playing mostly obscure covers from the world of American folk and acoustic blues music.

This release of gives listeners a glimpse of what they're really thinking: hard-drinking good (and bad) times, a strident diatribe against human folly, and vulnerable musings on love and the fragility of human life.
